The veteran Nollywood actor turned
academician in the better by the far
university of Ilorin, Prof Ayo Akinwale of the
department of Performing Arts gave up the
ghost at the age of 74.

The director of Corporate Affairs of the
University of Ilorin authenticated the news
to the news agency of Nigeria.
The
director, Mr. Kunle Akogun said, he kicked
the bucket on the 13 of September.
The deceased professor, kicked off his
acting career in the early 1970s where he
was featured in numerous television and
drama productions.
Professor Ayo
Akinwale won the prestigious best
Indigenous actor award during the 4
African Movie academy award.
The multiple award-winning professor was
an indigene of the pacesetter state, Oyo,
where he attended the Methodist High
School and the prestigious premier
University of Ibadan. The loving
grandfather, pick up is an academy career
as a lecturer in the well-respected
polytechnic of Ibadan.
He further, moved unto the University of
Ilorin, where he rose to the position of the
Dean, Faculty of Arts, and Culture. not only
that, but baba was also chosen as the
Chairman of the Oyo council for Arts and
Culture.
He was the Dean, Faculty of Arts and
Culture of the University of Ilorin, and also
the Chairman of Oyo State Council for Arts
and Culture.
