The legendary Nollywood actor, Jimoh Aliu
popular known as Aworo is dead. The
veteran actor gave up the ghost at the Ekiti
State Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti. A close
associate of the family discloses that the
body of the late actor, “ Aworo” would be
transported to his home residence in the
state. this would be done before taken the
deceased to his hometown in Okemesi in
Ekiti West local
government.
He would be buried there in his hometown.
the legendary veteran was about wrapping
up his first of the five movie projects,
Olowo ite. before the actor kicked the
bucket.
Aliu Jimoh was birthed in Okemesi, Ekiti,
state, the deceased kicked off his movie
career in the late 1950s, 1959 to be
specific. this was when he joined the Akin
Ogungbe Theatre Group. in 1966,
baba Aworo left and started his own group
named Jimoh Aliu concert party in Ikare,
Ondo State. Baba is popular for his role in
the legendary classic movies such as
“Fopomoyo” and “Yanpan Yarin”.
he headed the prestigious Association of
the Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP)
