Eddie Murphy wins first Emmy Award after 37 years

The legendary comic actor Eddie Murphy has eventually bagged an Emmy Award after thirty-seven years he was first nominated for the prestigious award.
Eddie Murphy won the outstanding guest actor in a comedy series he featured in during the Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmys ceremony.

The comedy series he featured on that got him an Emmy is a performance as a host of a “ Saturday Night Live Host” which he was aired in December. That episode would be his first Saturday Night Live show in his over 35years career in the industry.

it will be recalled, he has been nominated repeatedly, five terms to be specific, in all, he unlucky not until this 2020 Emmy Award he got favored.

he was nominated alongside Fred Willard (Modern family), Adam Driver ( Saturday Night Live ), dev patel (Modern Love), Brad Pitt( Saturday Night Live), and Luke Kirby (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). The 59-year old took to social to extend his appreciation and acceptance of the prestigious award.

Meanwhile, Eddie Murphy is expected to air the remake of coming to America by December, the production has been in process for over two years now, some of the classic characters of the coming to America was maintained while some new faces were introduced such as the Nigeria Afrobeats singer, Davido and the American Rapper, DJ Khalid and lots more.
