Two shots, while another political violence erupts in Ondo

Akure: Two people suffered gunshot wounds in Akure, the Ondo state capital, when political thugs clashed before the state gubernatorial election on Saturday.

Sporadic gunfire ripped through the air at Obanla Junction in the metropolis of Akure as thugs broke loose Saturday night. An eyewitness alleged that the confrontation was between supporters of the Popular Democratic Party, PDP, and the Congress of All Progressives, APC. Ondo decides: two shots, while another Residents running for safety. No less than 50 sympathetic thugs from each party mobilized and engaged in the state capital.

The tension increased when the main streets of the state capital were deserted. A source said police detectives deployed to the scene withdrew when they saw the sophisticated weapons displayed by the thugs.
