The Veteran Nigerian singer has made open reasons she married a Yoruba Muslim in 1984. The Nigerian veteran in an interview with cable has recounted how she fell in love two decades ago and how her marriage has produced two children. The veteran reveal her private life in her memoir she said it would be made public on October 1st, the title of the memoir is ‘My Father’s Daughter’. In a statement she said;
IN THIS BOOK, I AM, PERHAPS FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT CONCERNING MY CONNUBIAL RELATIONSHIP. YES, I WAS MARRIED. I MARRIED A MAN I FELL IN LOVE WITH IN 1984,” SHE SAID.
