fans with the release of Bill Israel, his first full-
length album since 2018’s Dying To Live . Boasting
features from Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez, Jackboy,
and more, Kodak’s new eleven-track
record sparked positive responses from his
fanbase, many of whom were eager to hear what
he’s been sitting on.
Off the top, Bill Israel kicks off with a reminder of
what Kodak is all about, with “Remember The
Times” displaying the same refreshing dose of
emotional honesty fans have come to appreciate.
Kicking off with an up-tempo flow, Kodak rides the
melancholic instrumental while reflecting on
previous personal losses. “I was in the cell when X
had died, send me to jail, you know I’m gon’ ride,”
he spits, alluding to the death of his friend and
collaborator XXXTentacion. “Never gon’ care, I’m
never gon’ cry, sent me to Hell, I got baptized
there.”
Take a Listen Below “FOREIGN SONGS… Almost a month ago, the pair of rappers bragged
about their cash flow on the track “ Bankroll ,” and
now they’ve returned with another single from their
project titled “Automatic.”
This is a slow-burning track where the rappers
trade verses about the luxury items that their lives
afford them while also reminding listeners that the
street life is never far away.
Nobody Safe features artists like Quando Rondo, Lil
Wayne, and Rod Wave, so gear up to hear that
album in full next Friday (November 20).
“Automatic” comes on the heels of NBA
YoungBoy’s surprise mixtape Until I Return that he
released earlier this week. “FOREIGN SONGS… After teasing their collaborative project for much of
this year, Future and Lil Uzi Verthave finally
delivered Pluto x Baby Pluto .
The project was announced yesterday and, in the
span of twenty-four hours, we were blessed with a
full-length project from the two iconic rappers,
offering sixteen featureless songs for us to digest.
So far, fans of the duo have enjoyed the tape. It
starts off with a loud bang as Pluto and Baby Pluto
join forces for “Stripes Like Burberry”, claiming that
they’ve earned their respect in the streets.
The track, produced by DJ Esco, starts off the party
on a spacey note, setting the tone for the entire
project. The astronaut-themed duo goes crazy over
this beat, which lasts just over four minutes. “FOREIGN SONGS… Despite announcing a release date for his new
album Donda With Child , the legendary recording
artist still hasn’t delivered the project, and the date
he initially gave is far in the rearview
window. Donda has likely been shelved
indefinitely, much like a handful of other albums
that Kanye has announced and forgotten about.
One of the only musical releases from the 2020
Presidential Candidate has been “ Nah Nah Nah “,
which did not get a warm reception from the fans.
Several days after releasing the song, Kanye teased
an upcoming remix, featuring DaBaby and 2 Chainz.
It took a minute but the record has finally arrived.
The “Nah Nah Nah” remix is available now on
streaming platforms, starting off with a verse
from DaBaby before heading into Kanye’s hook,
which Baby takes on with his own flavor. 2
Chainz hops on for a verse, explaining why he
doesn’t feel the need to speak for Kanye when
people ask him if he’s doing alright.
Already, fans aren’t too pleased with this release,
as all of the curse words have been
censored, keeping in line with Ye’s promise to no
longer release “secular” music. “FOREIGN SONGS… Kevin Gates has returned with another single
“ Wonderland ” where Gates once again uses his art
of story-telling and introspection to craft lyrics,
some explicit, about his leading lady and life
experiences.
You’ll find that on “Wonderland” Gates takes from
John Mayer’s 2002 megahit “Your Body is a
Wonderland,” but only ever-so-slightly. This comes
a week after Kevin Gates dropped off “Weeks”
where the rapper shared tales of street life.
Fans are expecting Gates to deliver news of a
forthcoming project soon, especially because he
continues to mysteriously tag his social media
posts with two words: “#CarryOn.” As we wait,
stream “Wonderland” and let us know what you
think about this latest release from Kevin Gates. “FOREIGN SONGS…
