The nicest thing you can do for strangers is to treat them with respect at all times. It’s in your best interest to treat your flight attendant with respect. Crew members work lengthy shifts, often running from plane to plane without getting a break. They are entitled to your courtesy and respect.

You may obtain a better seat on a plane if you’re friendly to the flight attendants. And who knows, if you’re disrespectful to them, you could end up stuck in a row with babies and children.
