Twice As Tall by Burna boy has become the first Nigerian album to last about 4 weeks on Billboard top 10 world albums. The album is the fifth album by the Nigerian singer and songwriter released on August 14, 2020. Alongside Burna Boy , the ground breaking album was recorded with American singer and songwriter Diddy in 2020. Mama Burna Bose Ogulu was also an executive producer. The American singer Diddy worked on the album with Burna Boy mostly through virtual file transfers and Zoom calls. “I’ve never picked up a pen and paper and written down a song in my life. It all just comes, like someone is standing there and telling me what to say. It’s all according to the spirits. Some of us are put on this earth to do what we do”. Burna said this to The New York Times
Twice As Tall” has a blend of Afrobeats, Afrobeat, dancehall, pop and hip hop. “Wonderful”, a song on the album is the lead single which was released on June 26, 2020. This week the album is placed at number 8 on Billboard World Album Chart making it the first Nigerian album to stay on the top 10 charts for 4 consecutive weeks. The album featured various guest appearances like Youssou N’Dour, Naughty by Nature, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin and Stormzy.
