»»The Weeknd announced on Friday that he’s
returned his 2014 track “King of the Fall” to
streaming services after the song’s spotty
availability over the past few years.
The standalone single — which was
accompanied by a full production video — was
used as the title track to an autumn 2014 tour,
but never ended up on 2015’s Beauty Behind
the Madness album, which featured the singles
“The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face.”
“Finally decided to put king of the fall on all
platforms,” the singer announced on Twitter
after he surprised fans by sending the mid-
tempo burner to streaming services.
The Weeknd has been on an epic tear this year
with his smash “Blinding Lights,” which broke
the Billboard Hot 100 record by staying in the
top five on the chart for 28 weeks, as well as
setting a new high point on the all-format
Radio Songs airplay chart, with 19 weeks at No.
