motorists can buy Compressed Natural Gas
(CNG) in Lagos and Abuja.

The Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI), led
by Engineer Michael Oluwagbemi, has
announced some filling stations where
motorists can refill their Compressed Natural
Gas (CNG) vehicles ahead of official launch
on May 29th.
As part of private sector collaboration,
Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company
(NIPCO) and BOVAS are involved in offering
refilling services for the CNG vehicles and
also serving as conversion centres.
Below are some of the stations listed by
PCNGi.
Lagos :
– NIPCO Gas Limited has four CNG stations
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Marina
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Igboi-Fadeyi
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Itire-Ishaga
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Badore

Abuja :
– NIPCO Gas Auto CNG Station in Kubwa
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Wuse Zone 6
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Zone 1
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Zone 4
– Banner Gas Oando Station, Gaduwa
Earlier this month, Mr Nagendra Verma, the
Managing Director of NIPCO Gas Ltd,
announced the completion of four
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in
Lagos.
“The completion of these CNG stations in
Lagos marks a significant milestone, offering
motorists an alternative to petrol amidst long
queues at filling stations.

“The facilities would be opened for
commercial operations within April and May
to become the first of its kind in the state
which is now contending with long queues at
filling stations,” Verma stated
The NIPCO boss further outlined pricing
details, noting that cars, taxis and Keke can
buy AutoCNG at N200/Standard Cubic Feet
(SCF) against the petrol price of N610 per
litre in Lagos and N230/SCF against the
PMS price of N670 per litre in Abuja.
For heavy commercial vehicles, he said that
the AutoCNG is being sold at N260/SCF
against the AGO (diesel) price of N1,250 per
litre in Lagos and N290/SCF against the
AGO price of N1,300 per litre in Abuja.
