Davido Set To Perform At The Global Citizens Festival

Another record in the bag, as Davido will be performing at the Global Citizens Award on the 25th of September. The Global Citizen Live is a-24-hour live broadcast that will feature several artists, activists, corporate leaders, and world leaders to mark a global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Davido will be performing alongside Femi Kuti, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Made Kuti amongst others. A Tweet by the Global Citizen Canada official Twitter page reads , “Afrobeats icon Davido embodies exactly what it means to be a Global citizen. WE can’t wait for him to join us in Lagos as Part of #GlobalCitizenLive – a 24-hour music festival on Sept. 25! Sadly, the Afrobeats hitmaker has been thrown into mourning over the death of his official photographer, Fortune Ateumunname who reportedly drowned at a location in Lagos, on Tuesday evening, September 21, 2021.
