Tory Lanez – Money Over Fallouts

Tory Lanez has found himself on trial in the eyes of the public. The reason is evident: his involvement in the shooting that left Megan Thee Stallion nursing gunshot wounds in her foot. Since the story unfolded in fragmented revelations, many have been quick to turn their back on Tory, who has waited until last night to offer any real insight into his own perspective. As it happens, he decided to take to the booth for clarity, resulting in his second full-length album of the year in Daystar. Given everything that transpired, it’s no wonder he used the introductory track “ Money Over Fallouts” to paint his own picture of what really happened. And unsurprisingly, he opted to deny his involvement in any foul play, essentially accusing Megan’s team of pulling the strings to frame him as a villain. As it stands, it’s unlikely that either side will change their position following Tory’s side of the story. Those that stand for Megan will remain adamantly against him, while his loyal fans will appreciate his perspective on the situation. Either way, there’s plenty to unpack on “Money Over Fallouts” for anybody curious in hearing the Canadian rapper out. Listen Up and Enjoy! “FOREIGN SONGS…

The Weeknd – King of the Fall

»»The Weeknd announced on Friday that he’s returned his 2014 track “King of the Fall” to streaming services after the song’s spotty availability over the past few years. The standalone single — which was accompanied by a full production video — was used as the title track to an autumn 2014 tour, but never ended up on 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness album, which featured the singles “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” “Finally decided to put king of the fall on all platforms,” the singer announced on Twitter after he surprised fans by sending the mid- tempo burner to streaming services. The Weeknd has been on an epic tear this year with his smash “Blinding Lights,” which broke the Billboard Hot 100 record by staying in the top five on the chart for 28 weeks, as well as setting a new high point on the all-format Radio Songs airplay chart, with 19 weeks at No. 1. [Music+ Video] Zayn – Better

»»Zayn is a man at wits’ end on the lovestruck soul ballad “Better.” The slinky R&B ballad from the new dad dropped on Friday morning and it finds the former boy bander contemplating a love he can’t shake, but might just have to. The song’s chorus makes the heartbreak crystal clear: “Why? Why wait to fight?/ Give it a try/ Or I’ll say goodbye while it’s right/ Can we save tears in your eyes?/ I’m making you cry/ Why wait to hate, can we save love?” The song, co-written by Zayn, is slated for this upcoming third album, which is described in a release as his “most personal project to date. With total creative reign on his third album, Zayn is making the music he has always wanted to.” The accompanying video directed by Ryan Hope finds him waking up alone in in an empty house while some unknown figures surveil him from afar. Malik’s sophomore solo album Icarus Falls album dropped in Dec. 2018 and he’s dropped a string of guest last year on songs by Shaed (“Trampoline”), Sabrina Claudio (“Rumors”), R3hab (“Flames”” and Zhavia Ward (“A Whole New World”). Zayn welcomed his first child, a girl, with girlfriend supermodel Gigi Hadid on Wednesday. “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love,” Hadid captioned a black-and-white photo of the baby holding Zayn’s thumb. Listen Up and Enjoy! “FOREIGN SONGS…

Sia – Courage To Change

»» Sia dropped the second single from her directorial debut Music on Thursday and the soaring “Courage to Change” is exactly the anthem of courage we need right now. “You’re not alone in all this/ You’re not alone I promise/ Standing together we can do anything/ You’re not alone in all this/ You’re not alone I promise/ Standing together we can do anything,” she sings on the track, seeking a ray of light in the darkness. “The only thing that remains constant is change. Now more than ever we need to pull together to fight for humanity, social justice, equality & so much more. It’s time for real change,” reads the YouTube description of the song. The track ponders what legacy we leave behind and the desire to live a life of purpose and meaning amid the deluge of horrible news, rising to a heart-swelling that asks, “Have I the courage to change today?” Back in May, Sia shared the first single from the movie, the uplifting “Together,” which was accompanied by a colorful video starring her frequent collaborator dance Maddie Ziegler. At press time there was no confirmed release date for Music, which was announced at the Venice Film Festival in 2015 and stars Kate Hudson, Ziegler, and Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. Listen to “Courage to Change” below. “FOREIGN SONGS…
